2019 Riesling - the Knoll - Lahoma

The 'Knoll' is a pristine vineyard on a well drained knoll above the rest of Lahoma Vineyards. In a moderate boytritis harvest, this was the latest pick and cleanest fruit that came to Red Newt Cellars. A riper more tropical expression of Riesling, the palate is weighty with a core of stone fruit and minerality packed into this lush wine.  September 2019 is the prime example of why we live in the Finger Lakes; warm, sunny, dry, a truly spectacular run of weather for people and grapes alike.  With a nearly perfect September, the crisp October that followed gave us grapes with both ripe flavors and refreshing acidity.
