While the Classic Label Pinot Gris grapes come from Curry Creek Vineyards it is lighter and more refreshing than its Single Vineyard iteration. This Pinot Gris is fruit-forward, relaxed, and ready to be sipped on a summer night. A wine that is uncomplicated and joyous for those very occasions.

Potentially the coolest vintage since 2009, the 2019 vintage was saved by some seriously great weather in early Fall (September October), which created ideal conditions for flavor ripening. This wine is showing lovely fruit, backed by an acid backbone that livens up the wine and allows this vintage to be aged.

The Pinot Noir from Glacier Ridge Vineyard has a finesse and structure that is unique to the Finger Lakes; a credit to the spectacular vineyard they hail from, and management by Tony Damiani. Put simply ,this bottling tries to stay out of the way of the vineyard and let the fruit and vintage speak for themselves. The result is a rich wine with the characteristic cherry and earthy notes of Pinot Noir with the smokiness typical of Glacier Ridge grapes. This wine is drinking beautifully now, but will continue to improve for years.

Sourced from the east side of Seneca Lake, this wine is full-bodied, with bright cherry and acid throughout. A great example of why Cabernet Franc is king of the reds in the Finger Lakes.  The first Red Newt Cabernet Franc released from Lead Winemaker, Christina Zapel.  Drinking well now, and will age gracefully.

Once again Glacier Ridge has exceeded our expectations with a glorious harvest of Cabernet Franc grapes.  2023 marks the first vintage from our Lead Winemaker Christina Zapel, and she has set the bar pretty darn high with this exceptional Cabernet Franc.  This wine is ready to drink now, but a few more years of bottle age will certainly be rewarding.

Salamander White is dry and crisp with a supple yet complex structure.  It is the perfect accompaniment to a sunny afternoon or a golden sunset.  Salamander White was a staple in the Red Newt portfolio for a number of years, but conditions weren't quite right to produce this wine again until recently, now it's back and better than ever!

Circle Riesling is a quintessential example of Finger Lakes Riesling; a touch of residual sugar to bring out the rich orchard fruit flavors without overwhelming the lemon zest and citrus that make it crisp and refreshing to drink. The overall wine is easy to drink, but made with as much seriousness and as many individual layers as any Riesling that Red Newt releases. The philosophy is simple; a crowd pleasing wine should still be multifaceted.

This wine showcases the traditional Niagara flavor while retaining a crisp, clean finish. If you are looking for a juicy glass of wine then go no further, this wine hits the spot. Usually harvested between September 10th-22nd, two to three weeks before the rest of Red Newt's harvest. At that point the Niagara smells beautifully of fresh, luscious grapes.

The Finger Lakes region is best known for its beautiful Riesling and aromatic white wines. However, the region is also ideal for growing fruit-forward, elegant red wines. Each vintage is different, some being hot and sunny, some being cool and damp. In blending this wine from multiple vintages, we are able to focus on fruit, structure, and character as it is expressed over the unique growing season.

Likewise assembling this blend with multiple varieties of grapes offers the winemaker the opportunity to create a wine that specifically displays crisp structure, beautiful fruit and a delicate finish. This blend of Merlot, Pinot Noir, Noiret, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah offers up crisp, forward cherry, raspberry and dried cranberry fruits. Each component in Red Eft is carefully selected to showcase vineyards, and specific lots that exemplify the fruit forward complexities with supple tannins which work together to display bright berry, black pepper and a lingering finish. Perfect as a summertime wine with grilled or BBQ meats, or an easy pairing with pizza.

The Eastern Red Spotted Newt is one of nature's most beautiful but often overlooked creatures. As a teenager (in newt years) it sports a brilliant red color as it romps about in the moist wooded areas of the Finger Lakes forests. While in its juvenile phase of development, we know this newt as the 'Red Eft'. This wine, too, is brilliant red, playful and full of life.

Once prolific in the Allegheny and Susquehanna river valleys of New York State, the Hellbender, a salamander some twenty inches in length, possesses startling looks but is of a good nature.

This Hellbender is meticulously vinted with exceptional Finger lakes grapes and can not be overlooked! This port style wine is robust, thick, and shows full bodied red and dark fruits with great depth and complexity.
A blend of Noiret , Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot which then fortified to bring the alcohol by volume to 19%.
