2019 Pinot Noir - Glacier Ridge

Available:  In Stock $29.00
Size: 750 ml
Glacier Ridge takes a studied minimalist approach in the vineyard; all weed control is manual and allows for some non-grape vegetation for competition as well as insect biodiversity. Bird netting was employed to minimize damage from birds and deer. Crop sizes are subsequently lower as a result, with a notable difference in increased ripening capability of the grapes. Glacier Ridge Vineyard has always brought a personality all its own to the finished wines that hail from it, and this has never been more evident than in this Pinot Noir. A spectacular and wild vineyard managed by grower Tony Damiani, our goal at Red Newt is to stay out of the way of the vineyard and let the fruit and vintage speak for themselves. The result in 2019 is a wine that has developed a delightful effervescence in bottle, which only amplifies the beautiful fruit and texture of this vineyard site. While we love this wine exactly as is, especially if served at a cool cellar temperature, the frizzante character will dissipate rapidly by decanting the bottle or opening it in advance of serving. Wine chemistry at bottling: RS: 0.1% TA: 5.8 g/l pH: 3.75 ALC: 12.1%
