We have a tight, productive team at Red Newt Cellars. Most of us spend most of our time at home these days, so the faces that you see here are the faces we have come to know!

Assistant Winemaker Meagz Goodwin started in 2007 serving guests in the Red Newt tasting room. Her many roles have included Bistro server, sommelier, wholesale sales and promotion. She joined the winemaking team in 2011, bringing the energy of her passion to the cellar.
Cellar master James Anderson first put his boots on the floor at Red Newt over a decade ago and is the linchpin of the production crew. It is he who keeps the bottling line running like a clock, the crush and press equipment working tirelessly through harvest, racking, filtering, and all around spicking & spanning… translating to great tasting wine!
Rebecca Mahmoud is our brand ambassador, and facilitates Red Newt Cellars’ expanding recognition and distribution in North America. Red Newt is currently distributed to 15 US states, Europe, Japan, China and New Zealand. Rebecca is a marketer, entrepreneur and hospitality professional, inspired by the creative process. Her career has spanned different businesses, from fine art auctions, photo styling and contract furniture, to food and wine.
Heather O’Grady Evans
Heather O’Grady-Evans runs the front of house and social media programs at Red Newt, and is a FLX native with more than 20 years of wine industry and hospitality experience. She traveled extensively from 1991 until 2009 mostly through Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia. Heather firmly believes the best way to change this world is one human interaction at a time. Integral to that is enjoying great food and wine with others. Her passions include gardening, cheese, hiking, traveling and cooking.
Katie Goodwin is long time member of the Red Newt team. Starting as a server in the tasting room over a decade ago, she now fills the role of Wine Club Director and is the voice of Red Newt in your email inbox! If you’ve been to the winery at least one time, chances are she’ll remember you when you come in!
Terri Myers returned to Red Newt as business manager in 2015 year after a seven year hiatus. She keeps everything ticking in the business office, and will likely answer the phone and make thinks happen when you call for help or answers with your online orders. Her loves include FLX wine, great beer, cooking delicious food, baking mind-blowing cookies and pastries, and running marathons… over a dozen so far…marathons, that is.
Susan joined the Red Newt family (and the Whiting family) in 2014. Her career as a professional violinist and professor at Ithaca College makes Susan the perfect fit for heading up the burgeoning music program at Red Newt. The addition of a world class Mason & Hamlin grand piano has created a centerpiece for the evening classical chamber recitals, and is a joy for lunchtime performances by jazz pianists and singer-songwriters. Prior to joining the faculty at IC, she traveled and performed nationally and internationally for over a decade as a founding member of the Cavani String Quartet.
David Whiting co-founded Red Newt Cellars in 1998 where he continued his 25 year career as a hands-on Finger Lakes winemaker. Today he fills a leadership role of collaboration, mentor-ship and business development. New passions include his violinist wife, Susan, old-time music and building open-back banjos.
