SUMMARY:Jen Cork - Sunday July 11th
DESCRIPTION: \nJen Cork\nJen Cork has a passion for dirt\, baritone ukes\, 1904 uprights\, vocal layering\, emotional honesty and found sounds. SUMMARY:Tenzin & Emmett Sunday June 20th
DESCRIPTION:Emmett Scott\nPianist Emmett Scott teaches private students out of Ithaca\, NY and works with musical theatre students at SUNY Cortland. In the past he has toured with renowned bands such as Big Mean Sound Machine and Dreamt\, while continuing to perform with Swamp Kids and New Planets. \nTenzin Chopak\nTenzin Chopak is an artist and songwriter based in Ithaca\, NY.  The son of a minister and a painter\, and the brother of a fellow musician and songwriter Greg Horne\, Tenzin was immersed in music through his father’s church in Oak Ridge\, Tennessee.  He studied voice\, piano\, and guitar in his childhood and youth\, frequently performing his original music publicly both solo and in various bands. Chopak was also involved with visual art\, theater\, and modern dance. In 1999\, after some years of a burgeoning devotion to the study of Tibetan language and religion\, he traveled to North India.  It was during his eight month stay there that he was given the name “Tenzin Chopak”. For the following twelve years\, while continuing his study of Tibetan in upstate\, NY\, Tenzin kept music a quiet if not hidden part of his life.  \nIn late 2011 he began to write and perform publicly again. Teaming up with renowned banjo player Richie Stearns\, violinist vocalist Rosie Newton\, violinist Eric Aceto\, and bassist Ethan Jodziewicz\, he formed an ensemble he called Rockwood Ferry as a vehicle for his music. Since then\, he released three albums under the Rockwood Ferry name (bringing in other respected players such as bassist Rich DePaolo\, drummer Bill King\, and horn player/multi instrumentalist Peter Dodge). His fourth and fifth albums were released within a few months of each other.  The fourth album “Awful Good” (11/16) is an old-fashioned acoustic live in-studio style performance album with deep roots influences and sweet vocal harmonies featuring ensemble players Nicholas Walker on double bass\, Rosie Newton on violin and vocals\, and Greg Evans on drums. His fifth album “Alone in the House” (3/17) is a solo guitar and voice project recorded with one microphone in one day. Both albums were produced by multi Grammy winning engineer Brian Dozoretz.  \nChopak’s sixth studio album was engineered by Angelo Peters at Black Bear Studios with Rosie Newton\, Greg Evans\, and Joey Arcuri\, and will be released in 2019.  \nChopak tours both as a solo act as well as with the collaborative project Swamp Kids featuring Angelo Peters and Emmett Scott (Big Mean Sound Machine) and Chris English (The English Project). Swamp Kids released a 3 song ep titled Skeletons in December 2018. \nThe Lunchtime Music Series\n\nwhenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck.  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas.)\nCOVID safety and social distancing in place\nlimited seating –  reservations suggested\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\n Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available (current menu here)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Jaimie Lee 12/15
DESCRIPTION:Afternoon Lunch Music\n\nJaimie Lee grew up in North Carolina\, where her love for music began. She always enjoyed singing and had an urge to write songs. Learning to play the guitar was the perfect avenue for this creative venture. Through high school and college\, she played solo gigs at coffee shops\, special events\, and bars/restaurants. Her musical influences early on were Sheryl Crow\, Alanis Morissette\, Jim Croce\, and Ingrid Michaelson among others. Now in the Finger Lakes Region of New York\, she is a solo musician playing a variety of covers as well as originals. Frequently deemed as having the “voice of an angel” (though if you ask her\, that’s a bit of a stretch)\, Jaimie Lee has developed an Americana/folk/pop music style. She has a knack for putting her unique twist on cover songs and singing with a passion that will convince you those songs were her own. Her original songs are clever\, thought provoking\, and sometimes humorous with a hint of sass. \nJaimie can be heard at a variety of venues including wineries\, breweries\, restaurants\, weddings and other special events. See the events page of Jaimie’s website for upcoming shows\, most of which are in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. \nLunchtime Music Series\n\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\nno cover – no reservations.\n Lunch is served concurrently from 11am – 3pm.\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Mac Benford and Up South
DESCRIPTION:Afternoon Lunch Music\nMac Benford has been a leading figure in the preservation and performance of traditional Appalachian stringband music for more than forty years. Local musicians Randi Backman\, Sally Freund\, Marie Burns\, and John Hoffman will join him for an afternoon filled with toe tapping music. \nLunchtime Music Series\n\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\nno cover – no reservations.\n Lunch is served concurrently from 11am – 3pm.\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Dogpatch String Quartet - 10/13
DESCRIPTION:Afternoon Lunch Music\n\nMac Benford has been a leading figure in the preservation and performance of traditional Appalachian stringband music for more than forty years. He began playing clawhammer banjo in 1960\, while a student at Williams College. His interest in the authentic mountain styles of playing the 5-string led him to the greatest living masters of the time – players like Wade Ward\, Kyle Creed\, Tom Ashley\, and Roscoe Holcomb who would provide life-long inspiration and models in the formation of his own style. Mac has long been known for his solid mastery of a variety of traditional banjo styles. His highly evolved clawhammer style\, showcased on his recent releases\, Kentucky Favorites and Half Past Four\, have recently made him a much sought-after instructor at banjo camps across the country. He has been a staff member at Ashoken\, Augusta Heritage\, Fiddle Tunes\, Banjo Camp North\, Suwannee Banjo Camp\, American Banjo Camp\, Midwest Banjo Camp\, and Mars Hill Old Time Week\, to name only a few. \nJudy Hyman\, with roots in classical training\, Appalachian fiddle music\, and modern rock\, is a founding member of the alt-folk rock band The Horse Flies. She plays locally in the Old Time band\, Long John and the Tights\, as well as the Zydeco Trail Riders. \nJeff Claus has performed and recorded extensively with two bands\, and who\, with his wife\, Judy Hyman\, composes and records for feature films and television documentaries. \nLunchtime Music Series\n\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\nno cover – no reservations.\n Lunch is served concurrently from 11am – 3pm.\n\n\n\n	Related
