SUMMARY:Sunday Music with Gerard Burke
DESCRIPTION:Delta bluesman Gerard Burke has entertained listeners across New York’s Southern Tier and Central New regions with his unique brand of acoustic finger blues\, played in the style of the old masters. \n\n\n\nBurke’s professional motto\, ‘One man\, one guitar’\, is an efficient description of his solo musical act. Using a resonator and standard acoustic guitars\, finger picks and a brass slide\, he creates a sound that is appropriate for almost any-sized venue. \n\n\n\nWhen people hear blues\, they usually imagine a combo – a group of like-minded individuals – who share a love for the genre and love playing it even more. Gerard is a pleasant reminder that it was all started by solo players traveling across Mississippi’s Delta region in the early 1900s. With each performance\, Gerard Burke provides an authentic experience and a glimpse into history. \n\n\n\nThe Sunday Music Series \n\n\n\n*Whenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas) \n\n\n\n*Limited seating – reservations suggested \n\n\n\n*Informal and eclectic \n\n\n\n*Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

In the past he has toured with renowned bands such as Big Mean Sound Machine and Dreamt\, while continuing to perform with Swamp Kids and New Planets. \n\n\n\nEmmett Scott is an actively performing musician in Ithaca\, NY. Emmett has been a member of such Ithaca groups as Big Mean Sound Machine\, Dreamt\, the Ndor Band\, Swamp Kids\, the Galactic Band\, and various Jazz ensembles and combos for hire. Proficient in classical\, jazz\, folk/rock\, and hip hop\, Emmett splits his time teaching private lessons and accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists at Ithaca College. Emmett is passionate about fostering a love of music in both beginners and experienced players\, and teaching with aspects of theory\, aural training and sight reading for a well rounded musical education. \n\n\n\nTenzin Chopak \n\n\n\nTenzin Chopak is an artist and songwriter based in Ithaca\, NY.  The son of a minister and a painter\, and the brother of a fellow musician and songwriter Greg Horne\, Tenzin was immersed in music through his father’s church in Oak Ridge\, Tennessee.  He studied voice\, piano\, and guitar in his childhood and youth\, frequently performing his original music publicly both solo and in various bands. Chopak was also involved with visual art\, theater\, and modern dance. In 1999\, after some years of a burgeoning devotion to the study of Tibetan language and religion\, he traveled to North India.  It was during his eight month stay there that he was given the name “Tenzin Chopak”. For the following twelve years\, while continuing his study of Tibetan in upstate NY\, Tenzin kept music a quiet if not hidden part of his life.  \n\n\n\nIn late 2011 he began to write and perform publicly again. Teaming up with renowned banjo player Richie Stearns\, violinist vocalist Rosie Newton\, violinist Eric Aceto\, and bassist Ethan Jodziewicz\, he formed an ensemble he called Rockwood Ferry as a vehicle for his music. Since then\, he released three albums under the Rockwood Ferry name (bringing in other respected players such as bassist Rich DePaolo\, drummer Bill King\, and horn player/multi instrumentalist Peter Dodge). His fourth and fifth albums were released within a few months of each other.  The fourth album “Awful Good” (11/16) is an old-fashioned acoustic live in-studio style performance album with deep roots influences and sweet vocal harmonies featuring ensemble players Nicholas Walker on double bass\, Rosie Newton on violin and vocals\, and Greg Evans on drums. His fifth album “Alone in the House” (3/17) is a solo guitar and voice project recorded with one microphone in one day.  Both albums were produced by multi Grammy winning engineer Brian Dozoretz.  \n\n\n\nChopak’s sixth studio album was engineered by Angelo Peters at Black Bear Studios with Rosie Newton\, Greg Evans\, and Joey Arcuri\, and was released in 2019. Chopak tours both as a solo act as well as with the collaborative project Swamp Kids featuring Angelo Peters and Emmett Scott (Big Mean Sound Machine) and Chris English (The English Project). \n\n\n\nThe Sunday Music Series \n\n\n\n*Whenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas) \n\n\n\n*Limited seating – reservations suggested \n\n\n\n*Informal and eclectic \n\n\n\n*Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Sunday Music with Erich with an H
DESCRIPTION:Erich Asperschlager \n\n\n\nErich Asperschlager is a good name but a bit long for a marquee\, which is why he goes by the shorter and more instructive\, Erich with an H. It’s a name that speaks not only to his parents’ inexperience in naming a first born son\, but also the sense of humor and playfulness that Erich brings to his music. Drawing from an eclectic array of influences\, Erich’s original material is a mix of folk\, alternative\, British Invasion\, power pop\, and novelty tunes. His songs cover the range of human experience\, from heartbreak to political protest.  \n\n\n\nThe Sunday Music Series \n\n\n\n*Whenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas) \n\n\n\n*Limited seating – reservations suggested \n\n\n\n*Informal and eclectic \n\n\n\n*Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Sunday Music with Jaimie Lee
DESCRIPTION:Jaimie Lee grew up in North Carolina\, where her love for music began. She always enjoyed singing and had an urge to write songs. Learning to play the guitar was the perfect avenue for this creative venture. Through high school and college\, she played solo gigs at coffee shops\, special events\, and bars/restaurants. Her musical influences early on were Sheryl Crow\, Alanis Morissette\, Jim Croce\, and Ingrid Michaelson among others. Now in the Finger Lakes Region of New York\, she is a solo musician playing a variety of covers as well as originals. Frequently deemed as having the “voice of an angel” (though if you ask her\, that’s a bit of a stretch)\, Jaimie Lee has developed an Americana/folk/pop music style. She has a knack for putting her unique twist on cover songs and singing with a passion that will convince you those songs were her own. Her original songs are clever\, thought provoking\, and sometimes humorous with a hint of sass. \n\n\n\nJaimie can be heard at a variety of venues including wineries\, breweries\, restaurants\, weddings and other special events. See the events page of Jaimie’s website for upcoming shows\, most of which are in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. \n\n\n\nThe Sunday Music Series \n\n\n\n*Whenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas) \n\n\n\n*Limited seating – reservations suggested \n\n\n\n*Informal and eclectic \n\n\n\n*Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Tenzin & Emmett Sunday September 5th
DESCRIPTION:Emmett Scott\nPianist Emmett Scott teaches private students out of Ithaca\, NY and works with musical theatre students at SUNY Cortland. In the past he has toured with renowned bands such as Big Mean Sound Machine and Dreamt\, while continuing to perform with Swamp Kids and New Planets. \nTenzin Chopak\nTenzin Chopak is an artist and songwriter based in Ithaca\, NY. For the following twelve years\, while continuing his study of Tibetan in upstate\, NY\, Tenzin kept music a quiet if not hidden part of his life.  \nIn late 2011 he began to write and perform publicly again. \nChopak’s sixth studio album was engineered by Angelo Peters at Black Bear Studios with Rosie Newton\, Greg Evans\, and Joey Arcuri\, and will be released in 2019.  \nChopak tours both as a solo act as well as with the collaborative project Swamp Kids featuring Angelo Peters and Emmett Scott (Big Mean Sound Machine) and Chris English (The English Project). Swamp Kids released a 3 song ep titled Skeletons in December 2018. \n  \nThe Lunchtime Music Series\n\nwhenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck.  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas.)\nCOVID safety and social distancing in place\nlimited seating –  reservations suggested\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\n Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available (current menu here)\n\n  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Gerard Burke - Sunday August 22nd
DESCRIPTION:Delta bluesman Gerard Burke has entertained listeners across New York’s Southern Tier and Central New regions with his unique brand of acoustic finger blues\, played in the style of the old masters. \nBurke’s professional motto\, ‘One man\, one guitar’\, is an efficient description of his solo musical act. Using a resonator and standard acoustic guitars\, finger picks and a brass slide\, he creates a sound that is appropriate for almost any-sized venue. \nWhen people hear blues\, they usually imagine a combo – a group of like-minded individuals – who share a love for the genre and love playing it even more. Gerard is a pleasant reminder that it was all started by solo players traveling across Mississippi’s Delta region in the early 1900s. With each performance\, Gerard Burke provides an authentic experience and a glimpse into history . \nThe Lunchtime Music Series\n\nwhenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck.  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas.)\nCOVID safety and social distancing in place\nlimited seating –  reservations suggested\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\n Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available (current menu here)\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Jen Cork - Sunday August 8th
DESCRIPTION: \nJen Cork\nJen Cork has a passion for dirt\, baritone ukes\, 1904 uprights\, vocal layering\, emotional honesty and found sounds. Piano\, guitar\, melodica\, and damn\, she can sing….and her voice is just the beginning. From packed art galleries\, camp fire circles in Michigan\, and harmony singing to deep listening rooms\, Jen is at home. \nShe is a well-known part of the music scene in Ithaca\, NY. She ruminates on rusty turnbuckles. She loves the history\, grit and intersection of nature and mechanical objects\, and her emotional songwriting grows out of these timeworn landscapes. There is history in her voice and legacy in her songs. \nCork was named “Best Female Singer” by the Ithaca Journal. \nFinger Lakes Music Press called her a “Superb Vocal Stylist\,” and her band was selected to perform at the Confluence Benefit for the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls\, NY. \nThe Lunchtime Music Series\n\nwhenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck.  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas.)\nCOVID safety and social distancing in place\nlimited seating –  reservations suggested\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\n Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available (current menu here)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Richie Stearns - Sunday July 18th
DESCRIPTION:Richie Stearns\n\nRICHIE STEARNS first discovered the pleasures of the old time banjo when he was 14. He’s traveled round the world\, performing both traditional and his own original music\, finding ways to collaborate with musicians from five continents as well as local musicians from diverse musical backgrounds. Over the past three decades\, he’s written original music for film scores and dance ensembles as well his own bands (The Horse Flies\, Evil City String Band\, Ti Ti Chickapea\, Donna the Buffalo\, and the Renegades\, among them) and collaborated with artists from a variety of disciplines to present public performances on stages through the U.S.\, Canada\, and Europe\, as well as on radio and television. He’s also president and co-creator of the annual GRASSROOTS FESTIVAL OF MUSIC AND DANCE. For the last 25 years this festival succeeded in naturally fermenting its own unique musical culture. The festival draws thousands of attendees every year; the alumni list is literally a “who’s who” of world roots music and Americana\, and the success of the Finger Lakes festival has spawned a similar sister festival held annually in North Carolina.\nThe Lunchtime Music Series\n\nwhenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck.  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas.)\nCOVID safety and social distancing in place\nlimited seating –  reservations suggested\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\n Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available (current menu here)\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Tenzin & Emmett Sunday June 20th
DESCRIPTION:Emmett Scott\nPianist Emmett Scott teaches private students out of Ithaca\, NY and works with musical theatre students at SUNY Cortland. In the past he has toured with renowned bands such as Big Mean Sound Machine and Dreamt\, while continuing to perform with Swamp Kids and New Planets. \nTenzin Chopak\nTenzin Chopak is an artist and songwriter based in Ithaca\, NY. For the following twelve years\, while continuing his study of Tibetan in upstate\, NY\, Tenzin kept music a quiet if not hidden part of his life.  \nIn late 2011 he began to write and perform publicly again.

SUMMARY:Jaimie Lee - Sunday June 6th
DESCRIPTION:Jaimie Lee\n\nJaimie Lee grew up in North Carolina\, where her love for music began. \nJaimie can be heard at a variety of venues including wineries\, breweries\, restaurants\, weddings and other special events. See the events page of Jaimie’s website for upcoming shows\, most of which are in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. \nThe Lunchtime Music Series\n\nwhenever possible\, musicians will be playing outdoors on our south deck.  (You’ll be able to hear them from any of our seating areas.)\nCOVID safety and social distancing in place\nlimited seating –  reservations suggested\ninformal and eclectic.\nMusical styles range from solo jazz piano\, to modern string duos to folk.\nMusic starts a 1pm\n Wine\, beer\, coffee\, lite fare menu available (current menu here)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related
