2012 Gewurztraminer - Curry Creek Vineyards

Aromas of luscious lychee, lemon and lime meld beautifully on the nose of this bold, full-bodied wine. Off-dry in style, it’s lush with sweet tropical-fruit flavors, but balanced with a shimmer of lime acidity and revitalizing blossom notes. In its younger years this wine showed a bit of heat of the alcohol on the finish, but with time that heat has synchronized with the sugar and they meld together beautifully.

2018 Gewurztraminer - Barrel Fermented - Curry Creek Vineyards

The intention of this Gewurztraminer was to produce a wine that had a bit more structure than that of the Alsatian expression. The barrel fermentation provides that structure while the inclusion of the 30 gal torpedo brings back some of the high-tone floral notes that can be lost due to barrel aging. Extended lees contact assists in incorporating the higher alcohol produced by this varietal.
