2016 Merlot - Glacier Ridge
Harvested from the lower block at Glacier Ridge Vineyards, these Merlot grapes were ideally ripe. Handpicked throughout the morning and early afternoon, and delivered via tractor to Red Newt where the grapes were actively cold-soaked for four days before being warmed up and inoculated. After fermentation, the Merlot was moved into barrels for roughly nine months and then we bottle-aged this wine for 6 years before being released.
