Harvested from the lower block at Glacier Ridge Vineyards, these Merlot grapes were ideally ripe. Handpicked throughout the morning and early afternoon, and delivered via tractor to Red Newt where the grapes were actively cold-soaked for four days before being warmed up and inoculated. After fermentation, the Merlot was moved into barrels for roughly nine months and then we bottle-aged this wine for 6 years before releasing it to you, our Wine Club members (if you are in the Tadpole Pack as well, you have gotten a sneak peak at this wine).
