2013 Laboratory Series Merlot Essence
The 2013 Merlot may be the biggest suprise in the line-up of the Laboratory Series Essences, it is SWEET which is quite the jump from the tradtional Merlots being made at Red Newt. The Merlot did need a little bit more time in the bottle to come into it's own compared to the Riesling and Gewurztraminer.
Pure beautiful Merlot juice, barely fermented and fortified with 95% grape spirits.
