Winemakers’ Dinner – Friday, June 30th

Make your reservations now for the Red Newt summer Winemakers’ Dinner. This elegant and festive summertime menu will be accompanied with a great selection of wines that we’ve pulled from the library to enjoy!
Starting with the 2012 “Flor” Riesling: This limited production wine was made in a FLX traditional method of a Fino Sherry. Replete with extended ageing under a surface “flor” this wine is snappy, saline, and exciting.
The 2013 Pinot Gris “Vin Gris” is a first release limited production under our “Limited Engagement” label. While not holding to the Vin Gris tradition of skin fermentation, very ripe Pinot Gris from Curry Creek Vineyard, skin contact and full pressing lend elements of complexity and intrigue that make a nod to the style.
Both the 2007 wines with the main course (Gewurztraminer – Curry Creek and Cabernet Franc – Glacier Ridge) are monster wines that have aged exquisitely over the past decade. We’ve only a few bottles left of each, and aim to share them with you!
And, the 2013 Riesling – Lahoma Vineyards is simply summer in a glass. With fresh strawberries, the evening will be complete.
