Winemakers’ Library Wednesday 3/1/2017

Winemakers’ Library Wednesday!

For over 15 years the Red Newt Bistro merlot and pinot grishas had arguably the most extensive restaurant wine list of exclusively Finger Lakes wines in the world!   With hundreds of wines from dozens of Finger Lakes wineries, the collection includes beautifully aged vintages… many of the wines in our cellar may not exist anywhere else.  Since reducing our dinner service in 2015, these wines have been aging peacefully… but it’s time to drink them.  We’ll be here until 6:30 tasting!

Wednesday, we’re openeding up two terrific wines from the past:

2008 Hazlitt 1852 – Merlot  – Hazlitt has been making some dynamite vinifera red wines from east Seneca fruit for years.  Take a trip back to 2008 with us!

2008 Red Newt Cellars – Pinot Gris Curry Creek Vineyards  – In 2008, the Pinot Gris from John Santos’ vineyard showed incredible flavors of pineapple, apple, pear, and ripe strawberry.  Let’s see how it’s showing today!

All day on Wednesday, or until the wine is sold out, we’ll offer these wines by the taste and by the glass. Wines will be available for purchase for the next few days, or until they are gone!
Have a taste, enjoy a glass, take a bottle home !

Come on in for lunch…keep a watch out for our daily Bistro specials to complement these wines.
